Street of the Week - Frederick Place

Georgian Elegance in Frederick Place, in Bristol

We love Frederick Place. It offers prospective tenants Georgian elegance without the high rents that other higher profile roads in Clifton command. Potential landlords can buy a property knowing that as long as the property is well presented and priced realistically they will get close to 100% occupancy.

Located just off The Triangle; Frederick Place is within walking distance of Whiteladies Rd, Park Street Clifton Village and the City Centre. In fact if you work at The BBC, BRI or Bristol University your daily walk to work is likely to be around 5 minutes.

With Queens Rd so close you everything is on your doorstep, with 2 gyms within 200 yards , a Waitrose and a Sainsburys, numerous clothes shops and enough restaurants and bars to satisfy every need including Jamie's Italian.

Letting property across Bristol

Accommodation Unlimited has let property in most of the buildings in the road our most recent was a 1 bed furnished apartment on the 2nd Floor, which achieved £650 pcm. This would be a starting point for a 1 bed in the current market, the most popular flats tend to be the balcony and garden apartments where rents can be as much as £1,000 for a 2 bed garden apartment.

The one downside to living on Frederick Place is the parking. It is the last road with all day free parking before the Triangle, and as such it is very popular with commuters looking to park close to their work. Early every morning cars crawl up and down the road waiting for residents to leave so that they can take their space, however the road does tend to clear in the early evening. Our recommendation to would be residents would be walk to work if you can and keep your car parked in the road for free.

In conclusion with its excellent location, reasonable rents and quality Frederick Place is a great location for young professionals who want a BS8 postcode without paying BS8 prices and that is why it’s our "Street of the Week"
