I like to think I know Bristol very well, but I am not afraid to admit that Emerson’s Green is not an area I know “like the back of my hand”.

The new science park at Emerson’s Green has attracted a lot of start-up companies, predominantly tech companies with a young workforce, and increasingly this workforce wants to live close to work avoiding long commutes.

For that reason Emerson’s Green is increasingly popular with tenants looking for value for money, and easy access to the motorways via the ring-road.  A typical two bed apartment in this area will achieve between £650 and £700 per month unfurnished. 

Compared to £800+ for an equivalent in Bristol and for landlords you get more for your money.  So if you are looking to invest around £150,000 in a rental property then this area should definitely be on your radar.
